FIRE SAFETY LAW HAS CHANGED! ARE YOU READY?

On 1 October 2006 the world of fire safety changed radically with the introduction of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005. The Order does away with most fire certificates and places the responsibility for fire safety fairly and squarely on the shoulders of business owners and managers. Businesses without a written fire safety risk assessment, an emergency plan and comprehensive staff training arrangements already in place had better look sharp – the Fire & Rescue Service’s role has changed to one of enforcement.
